About Dr Carolyn Bampton
Dr Bampton studied at the University of Adelaide and graduated in 1989. She undertook specialist Medical Oncology training at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and completed her elective component in Palliative Medicine in the Central Sydney area, working as a locum staff specialist at Concord Hospital in 1997-1998 Dr Bampton joined the Centre in December 1998.
She previously held the position of Visiting Medical Oncologist at the Modbury Public Hospital from 1998-2009, retiring from this position with the opening of the Tennyson Centre. Dr Bampton has held the position of Clinical Advisor for the Medical Advisory Committee for Adelaide Community Health Care Alliance hospitals since 2016.
She is involved with clinical teaching of medical students from Adelaide University who rotate through the centre. She is actively involved in clinical research and has been Principle Investigator in a number of clinical trials.
