About Dr Dainik Patel
Dr Dainik Patel undertook his undergraduate medical studies at Saurashtra University, India. He completed his basic physician training at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital and advanced training in medical oncology at Flinders Medical Centre, Lyell McEwin Hospital and Royal Adelaide Hospital.
He subsequently completed a year of research fellowship in Gastrointestinal cancers at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Subsequently, He undertook further research fellowship in neuroendocrine tumors at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital. He received certification from the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO) after passing the exam at Vienna in 2015.
He has been involved in the design and conducting multiple research projects in colorectal cancer, neuroendocrine tumors, lung cancer,melanoma, geriatric oncology and supportive care.
He currently consults at the Adelaide Cancer Centre. He is also permanent medical oncologist at Lyell McEwin Hospital. Dainik is also passionate about teaching medical students, trainee and registrars and currently serving as a honorary senior lecturer at University of Adelaide.
