About Julie Oloughlin

Julie has spent over 28 years working in the Private Healthcare sector and began working at the Cancer Centre in January 1998 as a Medical Secretary. She took on the role of Office Manager in 1999, was promoted to Business Manager in January 2001 and most recently, on her return from leave to have her first child, began the role of Group Financial Officer in December 2017. She has held an AAPM Certified Practice Manager title since March 2013.

Julie has an in depth knowledge of healthcare billing systems including private health and Medicare procedures and is responsible for the overall financial management of the private practice of the Doctors at the Cancer Centre. She has completed her Diploma of Practice Management to further enhance services provided at the Centre. She strives for excellence in oncology care and enjoys ensuring that we can continue to offer a positive treatment experience to our patients.

Julie is a volunteer Board member of Tennyson Palliative Care Foundation, an entity created to support cancer patients, their families and carer's dealing with issues of grief and loss in the palliative setting.

In her spare time Julie's interests include animal welfare, travel, furniture restoration, history and genealogy. Special Interests include the Co-ordination of new consultants, complex patient queries, financial management and technology systems, improving services provided at the Cancer Centre and donation liaison and management.
